Best Locations for Push Button Locks

Published by at 8:07 pm under Security

Push button locks offer some of the best home security around, if installed and used properly. They are extremely secure and usually are made to be long-lasting. These locks do not require a key to gain entrance, rather you program a sequence of numbers so that when those number keys are pressed the lock will open. These are great in areas where you have a lot of traffic, or if people come and go at different hours of the day in your home. It totally eliminates the need you have for keys, and saves all the stress and worry that occurs when keys are lost or stolen.

To open the door, you simply punch in the numbers of the code sequence and the door opens. Often these locks can be configured to unlock all doors at the same time.

While electronic push button locks, especially those capable of complex handling, a mechanical push button lock is usually fairly reasonably priced. However, these days, electronic push button locks devised for home use are also fairly inexpensive when compared with other locking systems. For  a standard sized lock that would suit home use, you will probably need to pay somewhere between $100 and $300, depending on the design and the features included with the lock.

It can be more difficult to install this locking system on a vehicle thus you may want to enlist the help of a professional to do the initial installation. Regular push button locks for home use, however, are specifically designed with the average handyman or handywoman in mind.  You can also get a money safe that uses push botton locks as well, eliminating the need for a key. These are usually fairly easy to install and most come with complete step-by-step instructions on how to proceed.
