Formal and Casual Dining For Your Dinnerware

Published by at 10:28 pm under Uncategorized

When choosing the right dinnerware set for you, your decision should not be based solely on the beauty of the table wares in the set. A good dinnerware set will show your food to good advantage, not just itself. By adding visual appeal to the meal, well-chosen dinnerware will improve your meal experiences no end!

dinnerware setThe type of table ware used in a set will determine the tone of your meal. Say for example you are going to utilize several different plates during the course of the meal, such as bread, salad and dessert plates. This choice – by making your meal more of a ’4 course dinner’ – makes the event seem very formal. If instead you just use serve one plate, and your diners pile all their food onto this, you have created a very informal ‘family’ type atmosphere for your meal.

How big a table ware set you need is, naturally, determined by the number of people you may need to feed on one occasion. Be sure to over purchase when using this metric, as you have to allow for the possibility of breakages over time.

If your finances allow it is best to purchase both a casual dinnerware set and a formal one. Sadly, not all of us can afford this luxury. When this is not an option, look for a dinnerware set that looks good enough for special occasions, yet is durable enough to use casually on a day to day basis.
Try to purchase a dinnerware set that includes more than just the basics of dinner and dessert plates. Ideally you will also receive salad bowls and bread and butter plates to allow you to serve multi-course meals. With the additions of soup bowls you really have a complete set.

Whether you can afford one dinnerware set or two, you should be able to find suitable table wares to allow you to set your tables for both formal and casual dining events.
