Published by at 10:02 pm under Lawn and Garden

If you want your lawn and garden to stand out from the rest, it would be a great idea to use one cohesive theme for all of your landscaping décor. There are quite a lot of themes to choose from and if you are really creative, the only limit will be your imagination. Now, to give you a few ideas and to help you get started with your own brainstorming, here are a few themes to consider when trying to come up with a unique garden design.

Versailles Garden– This French Chateau was home to some of France’s greatest monarchs and boasts a garden so exquisite in its beauty that even now has tourists from all over flocking to it just to take in the scenery. But garden bookyou need not be a monarch to get the same look. All you need to do is take some of its most outstanding features and replicate them. The garden is well known for its bountiful and colorful flora so that is a great place to start. You might also want to install a smaller version of that famous courtyard fountain which should add more drama to your outdoor space. Of course, garden lighting is important so it would be nice if you have a few tree lights hanging here and there.

Country Garden – If you’re not into drama and if you want both your lawn care and garden to exude natural beauty then you might want to go for a country or shabby chic garden. The main components would be weather-beaten furniture as well as plenty of green and white plants. Wicker furniture is often used for this kind of theme but wooden and steel pieces should work just as well. Mismatched seats should also lend a bit of country charm to your outdoor space and don’t forget the candles!

Zen Garden – If you want relaxing and minimalist looks for your garden, you cannot go wrong with a Zen garden. Borrowing from the Japanese aesthetic of simplicity, a Zen garden would become a sanctuary for its owner. All you need are a few key pieces. Smooth rocks, pebbles, bonsai plants and a small Japanese fountain.

So there you have it, just a few ideas for your lawn and garden themes. Have fun decorating!
