See Your Stuff With Clear Plastic Storage Boxes
Clear plastic storage boxes are one of the most convenient ways to organize a garage, attic, or bedroom closet. Since they are clear, they allow you to see the contents, so when you realize that you put something away that you need, you can find it more quickly. However, it’s easy to get lazy when storing your stuff in these boxes, so here are a few tips to help maximize your space and time.
Even though you can see what’s inside your boxes, label them like you would any other box. This forces you to stay organized and keep like items together. That way, you won’t be pawing through old dog toys to find that obscure kitchen tool you need.
Put the decorative storage boxes with lids in the right rooms. Don’t stick 
sports equipment in a bedroom closet, or baby clothes in the garage. This not only helps you keep your things organized, but it makes the boxes (and the visible contents, which could be a potential eyesore) seem less out of place when they contain items appropriate to that room or area.
Purchase a variety of sizes so you don’t waste space by putting too few items into too big of a box. If you have a few small storage boxes as well as some large ones, you can gauge how much room you’ll need and use the corresponding size.
When you put your items inside the clear plastic storage boxes, stack them according to potential use. Put frequently used items on top, and stuff you never even think about at the bottom. Also, be sure to put little objects near the top and front and larger objects near the bottom and back; this will prevent little items from falling into the cracks between bigger items, forcing you to empty the entire box to find them.
