Spiral Book Binding For Our Paperwork: It Works!
Institutions and companies have a lot of paperwork. The volume of the papers needed for presentations have become so huge that many of these institutions no longer do it themselves. Rather, they hire other printing companies to do it for them. Contrary to the belief that hiring a company to do the bookbinding would cost a lot more, commissioning it proved to be more cost effective. Books, booklets, brochures, newsletters, pamphlets, direct mailers, catalogs, workbooks, presentations, and reports are delivered on time and done with a more professional and finished look.
After you decide on a printing company, you now have to choose the appropriate book binding style for your papers. One of the most widely used is the saddle stitch style which makes folded signatures and are placed over a “saddle” and stapled along the spine. This is usually for a smaller number of pages; as few as 8 pages or up to 64 pages with self-cover. It is an original book binding method that holds the pages securely, which makes the pages last for a longer period of time. Although it is a simple method, it is not a technique that is easy to execute. You will need a professional to do the saddle stitch binding to do it correctly.
Another style is the spiral book binding, also called coil binding, spiral coil, color coil, ez-coil, plastic coil, plastikoil and coilbind. It uses wire, plastic and plastic coil and has the ability to open flat on a table and even rotate to 360 degrees. Its maximum sheet count with a 20-pound paper is 193 pages (Regular), 311 pages (Large), and 500 pages (Extra Large). If you have 24/28-pound papers, the maximum sheet count is 150 pages (Regular), 242 pages (Large) and 389 pages (Extra Large). The most commonly used hole pattern is the 4:1 pitch or four holes per one inch, with round or oval holes for this style.
But there are also other different sizes and styles available that you can choose from. When it comes to color, there are 60 standard colors. The client can also request for a specific color to match their color palette.
With these simple steps to follow, there will be no more paper dilemma for you. Your documents, pamphlets or book reports will now be visually impressive as well as strong and long lasting.
