Updating bathroom design involves not only changing the baths, but more of layout swap. Bathroom design adds value to the home and gives a competitive edge. If a person wishes to stick with the same layout, one has to measure their bathroom suite very carefully, before buying any replacements or new bathroom fits. Re-wiring and re-plumbing increases the cost of bathroom design. Therefore, it is better to stick with the old work, but if a person wishes to change the bathroom’s positioning, then cost cannot be controlled.

The first step in the bathroom installation is to find the correct place for shower, closet, and washbasin. After planning for the fittings, one can work out for the remaining space. The remaining space can be occupied with shelves or cupboards, which can be used for placing cleaning products, toiletries, children bath toys, and toilet rolls. If the bathrooms are very spacious, then one can go for adding towel hangers and linen basket.

Most time-consuming task is selecting basin and bath for the bathrooms. Even if a person is not opting for indoor hot tubs or Jacuzzi, baths come in different sizes and shapes such as corner, roll top bath, standard oblong, wider at one end, and curved. It is best to go with white color baths, unless if a person is very particular about any color. White is preferred because it is inoffensive, suits any paint color, clean-looking, and looks good with any furnishings.

Taps should be carefully chosen and it comes in various styles. Chosen taps should compliment the bathrooms. Before finalizing any design and bathroom fits, it is better to consult with the plumber to know any potential snags with the chosen bathroom designs. The bathroom windows with frosted glass should be covered with blind or curtains. Also, the chosen decorative items should be resistant to water and steam.

The wallpaper and paints should also withstand the steam look and heat of the bathroom. Pale colors are normally applied for small bathrooms, especially for bathrooms that have no natural daylight, but it’s OK to experiment with the colors. Placing a large mirror in the small bathroom creates an illusion of larger space inside the bathroom. These days in Edinburgh and many other locations throughout the world, floor coverings also come in different styles, and one should avoid carpets for bathrooms.

Bathroom installations should be properly done with the help of the plumber and all the bathroom fittings should be chosen according to the individual’s lifestyle.
