A ladies bedroom or bath is a great place to have a vanity table. Pretty and sweet, it is the ultimate feminine accessory. Often thought of as a luxury item in an old fashioned bedroom, they are actually quite popular. Available in many styles that will compliment any decor, they are useful beyond the purpose they may originally be decided for.

Most often considered a place for primping, the vanity unit table, sometimes called a make up vanity table, is usually a piece of furniture partnering a table with a large mirror. A person enjoys sitting in front of the mirror, and for this use a kidney shape design may be ideal. This allows for a small chair or bench to be placed in front. A large rectangle top is also useful, especially as it may be large enough to hold all manner of beauty tools. Drawers and shelves add convenient storage for your dressing and makeup items. Sometimes featuring a full skirt, they may have a large piece of glass or a mirror set on top of the table, offering a neat option for clean up as well as the display of fancy bottles and jars. The mirror on top may be attached, or placed on top as an individual piece. A tri-fold mirror is commonly sought for this use.

Beyond the ideal place for sitting and applying makeup, a bathroom vanity table is useful for other reasons. As an addition to a bedroom, it makes the ideal place to offer double duty as a desk. As it usually enjoys a well lit area, it makes the ideal place to read or do homework. It also has room for a computer, making it the perfect place to do some homework.  If you need something soft to sit on, a small ottoman is a good idea. You can get one that comes with its own ottoman tray to use for breakfast in bed.  For further use as a desk, it makes a great place for a person to do craft projects. A child or an adult will enjoy the convenient location in their room to sit down and work at a hobby they enjoy. The available nooks and crannies allow for the handy storage of craft supplies and accessories.

Having more than one use for a piece of furniture is a wonderful way to multi-purpose, especially when available room space is at a premium. While one person may appreciate having a dedicated location to peacefully get ready to leave the home for work or pleasure, another may feel satisfaction in the ability to quickly transform the same area into a convenient work place.
