Why Large Pendant Lights are Popular
Currently, more and more families consume their meals at tables that receive gentle beams of light from a large pendant light. These families feel more at ease under the glow from the pendant light, than they would from the harsher beams coming from a chandelier. This information helps explains why this pendant lighting is so popular.
Restoration Hardware has an inventory of four large fabric pendants. There’s one that is two tiered. With a height of over 25 inches, the hanging light is equal to the diameter of the pendant. Each lamp is included with three 12 inch and one six inch rod lengths, so the consumers are able to select how high they wish their pendant to be placed.
As is with every single pendant in the RH inventory, the multi light pendants with two tiers has equipped rods coming in two very vibrant colors–bronze or satin nickel. Also, as is with the rest of the RH pendants, the material in the light with two tiers comes in several colors–black, goldenrod linen, natural linen and white microfiber.
Different than that piece that has the two tiers; RH makes a pleasant, circular, and a box pendant. The box light is 15 inches wide, 12 inches high and 44 inches long, and contains sockets capable of holding three bulbs.
The circular pendant is the cheapest of these shaded lights. Costing a mere $450, it is a great deal. For just $45 more, you can buy the circular Pearson lamp. Offering a touch more sophistication than a simple circular piece, the Pearson lamp is a great addition. The box piece is available for $695.
More often than not, the pendant lights are less expensive than a chandelier. Also, chandeliers have special light bulbs that are very expensive. Because of this, the owners of pendant lights save valuable dollars. Because pendant lights require no special bulbs, time is saved as well as cash. You will not have to spend your time out of your busy schedule looking for the correct bulbs.
Often a family decides to forgo the soft glow given by the lamp that’s covered by fabric. Often, a family will eat under a box pendant with a clear, see-through shade. If that’s your fancy, anybody can clearly view the bulb’s special nature in the equally special lighting element, which is overhead. This lighting element produces a great alternative known as the filament pendant rather than a fabric pendant.
More instances of extra-sized fixtures may be seen in a RH “Home” catalog. Some of them are the popular Quentin Lighting model, San Sebastian Lighting model and the Colonnade Lighting model. All three of these large pendant lights have hanging pieces of lighted glass that hold the bulbs.
